"The bows came round, but it was too far to see across the wide expanse of water" 
A framed collage boat, sailing an ocean plastic-printed sea while a fused glass seagull swoops past.  All set on a background of vintage maps, with a hint of golden sparkle.  So much used in this piece has been saved from an uncertain fate - the words are from an old unloved book - the maps were being thrown away - the seagull's glass is from a broken greenhouse pane - the ocean plastic was gathered on a Dorset Jurassic Coast beach clean.
