It all began with a degree and masters in Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University.  I went on to further training as a secondary school teacher and then courses in the therapeutic use of the arts. I now work full time as an artist in my studio at The Base arts centre on Greenham Common in Newbury and also teach courses there in general art skills, textiles and creative wellbeing.

I create fine art pictures inspired by travels both slow and fast through nature, on foot and motorcycle using layered organza fabric and free machine embroidery. These images are created using theories and techniques usually applied to paint, the fascination in my work is in translating these into a new medium.
