I gained my degree in 1979 and worked in interior design for a few years until I found my true vocation as a craft enameller creating a new technique which remains unique after more than 30 years. The birth of my son in 1998 prompted a move to Portugal where I continued to develop my enamelling skills. In 2008 I returned to live in Scotland for my son's schooling and enjoyed much success in selling my work and establishing Why Not? North Berwick in 2012, a shop on the high street for 25 makers to make and sell their work from, seven days a week.
I moved to Dorset in 2014 in support of my 16 year old son's decision to go to College there and then to Devon in 2017 to live with my new partner where I am inspired by my new surroundings.
